I will be writing an addendum titled Trustworthy revisited. I hope your son will be able to enjoy and gain some new insights after reading it.

Please let me know any specific suggestions you might have with regard to the topic by posting them here on the blog. As always your comments and suggestions are appreciated as is your consideration in passing along a link to this blog to other members of your troop. My motivation comes from knowing people are reading the blog and getting something out of it.

Yours in Scouting
Tom ConnellAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08277975770241435662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5453628037270525160.post-30082132520476646622012-10-26T14:20:55.907-04:002012-10-26T14:20:55.907-04:00This was the best if the series I wish 'trustw...This was the best if the series I wish 'trustworthy' was something my First Class Scout could read and understand.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11437013935201828697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5453628037270525160.post-45334843361298983162012-10-23T14:59:23.904-04:002012-10-23T14:59:23.904-04:00Several years ago I had the privilege to eat with ...Several years ago I had the privilege to eat with my Mother and Father(who live in another state and were visiting me) at a nearby restaurant. As we ordered our food we asked for french fries without salt and we said please. The young man behind the cash register said, "Wow, people say please". My Mom was surprised at this comment and said, "Why, don't you say please and thank you"? The cashier said that he lived with many siblings and no one not even his parents ever said these polite words. Being courteous and showing respect really does begin at home. Our actions speak louder than words. As parents, we need to show our children how to behave in a proper manner towards everyone. Thank you for your important topic and for sharing.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5453628037270525160.post-38840185126468266122012-10-19T15:18:11.105-04:002012-10-19T15:18:11.105-04:00Great article! Holding car doors and building doors open for others, taking your hat off when you enter a building, saying "please" and "thank you" are not just cultural niceties, these acts acknowledge and (re)inforce a respect for each other.
